I called the FBI people this morning. The lady I spoke with at that office checked and according to her, my back ground check was completed, cleared and released to the state at 1600 yesterday afternoon(4pm EST). So, I called the nice supervisor lady at the state to find out if my back ground checks were released to my agency.
and....
Nothing.
The nice lady at the state pulled up my file in their computer, asked me several questions that I knew meant that something was not right and then asked me for my phone number.
She said she has to call the supervisor lady at the FBI(that I talked to last week) and then she'll call me back.
She didn't say what the problem is or anything. But, there is obviously a problem.
She hasn't called back.
I'm really discouraged right now.
Did I mention that the lady that's in charge of our file at the home study agency is going on vacation? So, if this issue isn't cleared up today, it will be August before we have any hope of our home study being sent to DHR.
It has been almost FOUR MONTHS since we sent our back ground checks to the state.
FOUR MONTHS
with no end in sight.
I don't know what else to do.

I so understand the frustration of delays. All I know through all of this is that God is faithful and He is caring for us and our children while we wait. He'll make a way and in the end we'll be able to see how His hand was on us the whole time.

I can't imagine how you are feeling... words to share won't help at this point I am sure. When we go thru times like this my husband, Paul reminds me we must be doing the Lord's work because Satan is sure attacking us... it sounds alot like that to me especially after reading your other blog. I will continue to pray and hugs to you.
